*** WARNING PICTURE OVERLOAD ***
When Aaron and I flew to Boston last year we earned vouchers for a later flight. With only 2 of the kids ever flying and none of them remembering it we decided to fly to Denver, rent a van and drive to Grandma and Grandpa's for Thanksgiving... It did save time, it did not save money, it was a lot of fun though! They were EXCELLENT little flyers and we had some bad moments with all the walking and carrying and late late night but it was a fun trip.
We could not have any better weather than what we had in CO. It was BEAUTIFUL and warm and the kids were in HEAVEN playing in the fort and out in the grass. I had such a great time too with them and was so glad that we went.
We played a game of croquet one afternoon. Jeremy set up the craziest course we had ever seen but it was super fun.
Lindsay was on Mom and Dad's team... not super helpful but super cute! She really liked being outside.
The kids were elated that they had the zip line all set up and ready. It was super fun for them to zip on down across the yard.
Even Trevor had no fears and wanted to do it all alone!
Jeremy held Jared just because it made us nervous but he LOVED going on it and wanted to do it without help. He is so independent!
Wednesday we had Trevor's "birthday". Grandma even got a cake for him.
Grandma and Grandpa went outside every chance they had to play with the boys. This was a game of 5000... or whatever denomination they were playing!
Thursday was Thanksgiving but of course I didn't take any pictures :(
We had a wonderful meal and then just laid around and hung out and that night the kids and I played charades with Clarissa while Grandpa and Jeremy and Dad disappeared for a while.
Friday we went to a movie. I think it was probably the first movie we have "gone" to in a few years. Lindsay slept the entire time and never even knew we left the house. The boys all sat and watched and ate their popcorn and enjoyed "Wreck it Ralph". Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for treating us to the show!!!
Friday night before we left Saturday we had "Christmas" since we wouldn't see them again before.
Grandpa read us the Pennsylvania Dutch Night Before Christmas... which was funny to me but probably not the rest of my family, seeing how they haven't ever been to PA.
Lindsay was way more interested in eating that opening. She got a ball that opens apart and stacks up as well as a book with a finger puppet.
Andrew got Harry Potter game.
Jared got a neat Lego Duplo set
Trevor got a Playmobile set
They also all got a new book!
Landon got Lego walkie talkies!
It was a WONDERFUL trip and we had such a great time. SO glad to get away and to see family and to have such perfect weather. It really was a wonderful week!
