1 Year Old!

Jared is ONE!  I do not know where the year went, because I feel like I just brought him home from the hospital and introduced him to our family.  Yet, here he is a walking, toothless little one year old.

 

 He had a great party!  Aaron took a half day and we celebrated with a lunch party. We checked Andrew out of school and Grandma and Grandpa came down.  It was nice.  We served rolls and meat and cheese for sandwiches with some chips and juice and then the fruits from the book, "Hungry, Hungry Caterpillar" by Eric Carle.  Jared loved his food.
After everyone was finished we let him open presents but he was just not at all interested after the first one.  He just wanted to play with the balloons and wrapping paper!
His caterpillar cake turned out cute, I thought.  He was not quite sure what to do with it at first with everybody staring at him.  It was funny he would just look at us and smile.  Then he started grabbing little pieces and eating slowly and very clean.  By the end he had a little on his face but mostly just a clean cake eater, boring but not as hard to clean up :)

loves kisses and will put his cheek at your lips for them
blanket boy, no stuffed animals just a soft blankie for this boy!
biggest feet ever... already a 5
big hands too (basketball player???)
already dribbling a soccer ball around house
loves to scribble, finds a pen needs paper to go with it!
