Happy Birthday Andrew #9

9 years!!!  NINE years!!!
I can't believe that this little guy came to us nine years ago.
He is growing up too fast.

JUNE 30th
He had a party at the park a few days before his birthday.
We had them wear their swim stuff and tennis shoes... wierd combo, yes I know!
We started with pizza and after they had enough to eat we started a game of flag football.

The teams: Andrew, Landon, Trevor and Cam
vs.
David, Caleb, Marshall and Lucas

I guess we should have invited a few more kids because it is hard to play 4 on 4 but it worked.  It was SOOO hot, even at 7 in the evening but they played super hard and had a ton of fun... at least it looked like they did.
Jared had fun too... he drank gatorade, ate slices of pizza and played in the splash pad!

Lucas

Cam, Andrew and Trevor against David
Trevor is such a little peanut but at the age of 4 1/2 he decided that he was going to defend David... the BIGEST of all the kids playing, and the oldest too. He put his heart into it and even though David just pushed him off, he sure did try hard.
Lucas running the ball and Marshall blocking for him.
Andrew after Lucas' flag.  If he misses Landon is there to grab it.
In the back field Marshall and Caleb and Trevor running around.
Cam and Landon.  We got eye black stickers for the boys.

Trev down with an "injury"... Cam down too... nobody really got hurt so that was good.  Just some floppers :)
Forgot pictures but the last 1/2 hour we let them run through the splash pad to cool off.  They had fun.

JULY 2nd

On his birthday we did family stuff.  We did make your own pizzas for dinner.  Andrew made his the shape of a football.

Jared wanted to help open all the presents.  He succeeded with a few.

Lindsay just sat content while we had the party.
Look how cute, her shirt has a cupcake for her brother's birthday! :)

After dinner we went to Trafalga.  We played a round of mini golf and then the older 3 went in to do laser tag while Jared rode the planes, over and over and over.  I forgot to take pictures of golf so this was the only one I have, shucks!!!
He was nice to his poor mom and wanted a simple cake with a glaze instead of frosting... wish granted.  I loved that all I had to do was pour on the glaze and then make the threading like a football.

Happy Birthday our big boy, hope your wish comes true.

Andrew is headed to 4th grade... yikes!
He enjoys mystery books and is reading Harry Potter with his Dad, started Fable Haven with his Grandma (to finish with mom) and Diary of a Wimpy Kid on his own
He loves all things sports and BYU especially
He only wears comfy clothes and it is a fight to wear anything else
He is a big helper and I am so grateful for him!
